Barbecue Beef Sliders
Creamy Coleslaw and Baked BeansIngredients
- 1½ lb lean ground beef
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 3 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- 6 Tbsp organic barbecue sauce
- 12 slider buns (preferably whole wheat)
- 1 red onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 2 avocados, sliced
Instructions
- Shape beef into 12 patties; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cut each cheese slice into 4 squares.
- Grill burgers, in batches if needed, on a hot grill pan over medium-high heat 3 minutes per side or until almost done. During last 1 minute of cooking, brush burgers with barbecue sauce, and top with cheese.
- Serve burgers on buns with onion and avocado.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg shredded coleslaw
- 1 organic red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup olive-oil mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 2 (16-oz) cans BPA-free organic baked beans
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine coleslaw and bell pepper in a bowl; stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Add to slaw; toss. Let stand until ready to serve.
- Meanwhile, heat baked beans according to directions on can.
