Grill Pan Sirloin

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1½ lb top sirloin steak
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, oil, syrup, and soy sauce in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag; add sirloin. Seal and chill 2 to 4 hours.
  2. Heat a grill pan or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat; sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Cook 8 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
  3. Let stand 10 minutes; thinly slice across the grain.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 (15.5-oz) can BPA-free cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15.5-oz) can BPA-free dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 1 minute or until tender; add green beans and water. Cover and steam 4 minutes or until tender.
  2. Combine green beans, cannellini beans, kidney beans, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Serve warm or at room temperature.
