Onion-Smothered Turkey Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp salt, divided
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided 
  • ¾ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Gently mix together turkey, Worcestershire sauce, ¼ tsp salt, and garlic using your hands; shape into 3 (½-inch-thick) patties.
  2. Cook patties in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 4 minutes per side or until done. Remove from skillet, and keep warm.
  3. Sauté onion in 1 Tbsp hot oil in same skillet over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned. Stir in water, ¼ tsp salt, and pepper; cook until thoroughly heated. Spoon onion over patties.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (20-oz) pkg frozen mashed cauliflower
  • 6 Tbsp shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 green onion, chopped 
  • ½ Tbsp butter

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Microwave cauliflower according to package directions. Stir in cheese, onion, and butter.
