Nashville Hot Chicken
Southern Broccoli SlawIngredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp buttermilk
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 3 lb bone-in chicken thighs
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Whisk together eggs, buttermilk, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Place panko in a separate shallow bowl. Dip chicken into egg mixture; dredge in panko.
- Arrange chicken on a greased wire rack on a rimmed baking sheet; coat lightly with cooking spray. Bake 45 to 55 minutes or until chicken is done.
- Melt butter and oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cayenne, honey, chili powder, garlic salt, and paprika; brush over chicken. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

- 1 (16-oz) pkg broccoli slaw
- 2 cups finely chopped broccoli
Side Dish Instructions
- Whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add slaw and broccoli; toss. Chill until ready to serve.
