Peach-Jalapeño Margarita

Clock

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeño peppers
  • 1 cup frozen peach slices
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • 2 oz gold tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • ¼ oz Grand Marnier (or use triple sec)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and jalapeños in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, and cool 15 minutes. Chill 4 hours.
  2. Strain mixture, reserving syrup and transferring jalapeño slices to a small bowl. Save candied jalapeño slices for garnish, or discard them. Store in airtight containers in refrigerator until ready to use.
  3. Combine peaches, ice, tequila, lime juice, Grand Marnier, and 1 oz chilled jalapeño simple syrup in a blender; blend until smooth. Pour into a margarita glass to serve. Garnish with candied jalapeño slices, if desired. Makes 1 serving.
