Peach-Jalapeño Margarita

Ingredients
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup sliced jalapeño peppers
- 1 cup frozen peach slices
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 2 oz gold tequila
- 1 oz lime juice
- ¼ oz Grand Marnier (or use triple sec)
Instructions
- Combine sugar, water, and jalapeños in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, and cool 15 minutes. Chill 4 hours.
- Strain mixture, reserving syrup and transferring jalapeño slices to a small bowl. Save candied jalapeño slices for garnish, or discard them. Store in airtight containers in refrigerator until ready to use.
- Combine peaches, ice, tequila, lime juice, Grand Marnier, and 1 oz chilled jalapeño simple syrup in a blender; blend until smooth. Pour into a margarita glass to serve. Garnish with candied jalapeño slices, if desired. Makes 1 serving.
