Ingredients

  • 1½ lb flank steak, trimmed 
  • 3 Tbsp cracked black peppercorns, divided
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup low-sodium beef broth
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Place steak on a lightly greased broiler pan. Sprinkle steak with 1 Tbsp cracked peppercorns and salt.
  2. Broil 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain.
  3. Meanwhile, cook shallots in hot oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until browned and tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute or until fragrant.
  4. Reduce heat to medium; add cream, broth, and 2 Tbsp peppercorns. Cook 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir in parsley. Serve sauce with steak.

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg green beans
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

  1. Heat mashed potatoes and cook green beans according to package directions.
  2. Toss together green beans, oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
