Flank Steak with Peppercorn Sauce

Ingredients
- 1½ lb flank steak, trimmed
- 3 Tbsp cracked black peppercorns, divided
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 shallots, chopped
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup low-sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat broiler. Place steak on a lightly greased broiler pan. Sprinkle steak with 1 Tbsp cracked peppercorns and salt.
- Broil 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before thinly slicing across the grain.
- Meanwhile, cook shallots in hot oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until browned and tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium; add cream, broth, and 2 Tbsp peppercorns. Cook 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir in parsley. Serve sauce with steak.

- 2 (12-oz) pkg green beans

- ¼ tsp salt
