Peach-Jalapeño Margarita

Clock

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeño peppers
  • 1 cup frozen sliced peaches
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • 2 oz gold tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz Grand Marnier (or use triple sec)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and jalapeños in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat; cool 15 minutes. Chill 4 hours.
  2. Strain mixture, reserving liquid and transferring solids to a small bowl. Save candied jalapeño slices for garnish, if desired. Store both in airtight containers in refrigerator until ready to use.
  3. Blend peaches, ice, tequila, lime juice, Grand Marnier, and 1 oz jalapeño simple syrup in a blender until smooth. Pour into a margarita glass to serve. Garnish with candied jalapeño slices, if desired. Makes 1 serving.
