Freshness Guaranteed Garlic Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced white sandwich bread
- ⅓ cup milk
- ½ cup finely diced onion
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 3 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 (24-oz) jars marinara sauce
- 1 (14.5-oz) can chicken broth
- 1 (16-oz) pkg spaghetti
Instructions
- Combine bread, milk, onion, and garlic in a large bowl; let stand 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Stir mixture untl all bread is saturated with milk. Stir in egg, cheese, parsley, and basil.
- Add beef, mixing genty with hands, and form into 2-inch balls. Place on a lightly greased rack on a large rimmed baking sheet and bake 20 minutes.
- Let meatballs cool completely, and place in a single layer in zip-top plastic bags, and freeze up to 1 month.
- Heat marinara sauce and broth in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add frozen meatballs, and cook, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until meatballs are heated through.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
