Beef Nachos with Queso Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ (11.5-oz) pkg nacho cheese tortilla chips
  • ½ lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ½ Tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 (15-oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (9-oz) bottle creamy queso sauce
  • ½ (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • 1 Roma tomato, sliced
  • ½ (8-oz) carton sour cream

Instructions

  1. Spread chips on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
  2. Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Stir in cumin and beans. Cook until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon beef mixture over chips.
  3. Heat queso sauce according to package directions; pour over beef mixture. Top with lettuce and tomato. Serve with sour cream.
