Cheesy French Dip Burgers
Steak Fries
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (14.5-oz) can beef broth
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp prepared horseradish
- 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and cook 10 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally. Increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring often, until caramel colored. Add broth, reduce heat to low, and simmer while you make burgers.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Stir together beef and seasoning; shape mixture into 2 patties.
- Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Top with cheese; let stand 1 minute.
- Stir together mayonnaise and horseradish; spread on bottom buns. Serve cheeseburgers on buns with desired amount of onions. Serve remaining broth mixture for dipping.
