Marinate Ahead and Grill
Grilled Five-Spice Chicken
Prosciutto-Wrapped AsparagusIngredients
- 2 green onions, minced
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro
- 1½ Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 2 bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts
Instructions
- Combine onions, cilantro, oil, vinegar, garlic, five-spice powder, and salt in a zip-top plastic bag. Add chicken, seal bag, and turn to coat. Chill 2 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade.
- Grill chicken, covered, on a grill rack rubbed with oil 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done. Cut up chicken into pieces to serve.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 1 Tbsp avocado oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 slices prosciutto (about 3 oz)
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine asparagus, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Cut each slice of prosciutto in half lengthwise to make 4 strips total.
- Divide asparagus into 4 bunches; wrap 1 strip of prosciutto around each bunch of asparagus. Arrange bundles on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake 15 minutes or until asparagus is tender and prosciutto is crisp.
