Honey-Mustard Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 (6-oz) boneless center cut pork loin chops
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil
  • ¼ cup organic chicken broth
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • 2 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle pork with garlic salt and pepper. Cook, in batches, in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until browned; remove from skillet.
  2. Add broth, honey, coconut aminos, and mustard to skillet; bring to a boil, and cook 1 minute, stirring often.
  3. Return pork to skillet, turning to coat; cover, reduce heat to medium, and cook 5 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  4. Cook sauce 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened; drizzle sauce over pork.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 3 slices nitrite-free bacon
  • 1 Tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 head green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 apples, sliced (such as Fuji)
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup chopped raw walnuts

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp; crumble.
  2. Add oil to hot drippings in skillet. Add cabbage, apples, caraway seeds, and salt; cook, covered, 5 minutes.
  3. Uncover and cook 5 minutes longer or until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with bacon and nuts before serving.
