Pan-Fried Cheesy Tacos
Tortilla Chips and Salsa
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 (1-oz) envelope taco seasoning
- ⅓ cup water
- 6 Tbsp butter, divided
- 6 soft-taco size flour tortillas
- 2 (8-oz) pkg shredded Mexican-blend cheese
- 1 (16-oz) container white cheese dip
- 1 (16-oz) container refrigerated guacamole
Instructions
- Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet. Stir in taco seasoning and water; cook until mixture is very thick. Transfer mixture to a large bowl; wipe skillet clean.
- Melt 1 Tbsp butter in skillet over medium heat.
- Spoon about ½ cup beef mixture over 1 side of each tortilla; sprinkle each with about ⅓ cup cheese. Fold sides of tortilla over filling and place tacos in hot skillet, 2 at a time.
- Cook, 3 to 4 minutes per side or until tortillas are browned and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining butter and tacos.
- Heat cheese dip according to package directions. Serve cheese dip and guacamole for dipping.
