Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, divided
  • ½ Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ onion, cut into ¼-inch-thick slices
  • 6 Tbsp shredded smoked Gouda cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Gently combine beef and ½ Tbsp Worcestershire. Shape into 2 patties. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  2. Combine ½ Tbsp Worcestershire sauce and oil. Brush onion with Worcestershire mixture.
  3. Grill burgers, covered, 4 to 5 minutes per side or until centers are no longer pink, topping with cheese during last 1 minute of cooking. Grill onions 2 minutes per side or until charred. Serve onions on burgers.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 6 oz yellow squash, cut into planks
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ (5-oz) pkg mixed greens
  • 2 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine squash, garlic, and 1 tsp oil; place on grill rack. Grill, covered, 2 to 3 minutes per side or until squash is well marked on both sides. Coarsely chop.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk together 2 tsp oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Gently combine greens, squash, and oil mixture in a bowl; sprinkle with cheese.
