Barbecue-Cheddar Lettuce Burgers
Lime-Scented Pineapple
Ingredients
- 4 fresh plant-based burger patties
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce
- 4 (0.67-oz) slices reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
- 8 green leaf lettuce leaves
- ½ cup very thinly sliced red onion
Instructions
- Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes per side.
- Reduce heat to medium. Brush with barbecue sauce, and top with cheese. Cover and cook 2 minutes or until done and cheese is melted.
- Arrange lettuce in 4 stacks. Serve burgers in lettuce leaves; top with onion.

- 1 lime, halved
- ½ peeled and cored pineapple, sliced
Side Dish Instructions
- Squeeze lime juice over pineapple slices.
