Smoky Mexican Sausage Patties
Cilantro-Lime Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp ancho chile powder
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, except oil and lime juice, in a large bowl. Shape beef mixture into 12 patties.
- Heat 2 tsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 4 patties; cook 8 minutes or until centers are no longer pink, turning after 4 minutes. Repeat twice with remaining oil and patties. Drain on paper towels.
- Drizzle patties with lime juice. Serve 8 patties. Reserve 4 patties for Mexican Sausage and Eggs recipe.

- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tomatoes, sliced or cut in wedges
