Cinnamon-Apple Baked French Toast
Sausage Patties and Grapes
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg French bread, cut into 2-inch cubes
- 8 large eggs
- 3 cups milk
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 Tbsp butter, melted
- ½ cup plus 2 Tbsp cinnamon-sugar
- 4 apples, peeled and cut into chunks
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Place bread cubes in a lightly greased 13-x-9 inch baking dish.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla until blended; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Let casserole stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- Bake, covered, 45 minutes. Brush with melted butter; sprinkle with 2 Tbsp cinnamon-sugar. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes longer or until center is puffed and set.
- Combine apples, ½ cup cinnamon-sugar, and ¼ cup water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover, and microwave in 2 minute intervals, stirring between each, until apples are tender. Spoon over French toast.

- 1 lb seedless grapes

- Heat sausage according to package directions.
- Serve sausage and grapes on the side.
