Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup plus 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • ¾ tsp crushed red pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 3 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 3 green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, sugar, oil, red pepper, and ginger in a small bowl.
  2. Cook garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 1 minute or until fragrant. Add beef; cook 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Drain, if needed.
  3. Stir in soy sauce mixture and onions; cook 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated and beef is done. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

  • 3 (3.5-oz) pouches boil-in-bag brown rice
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg frozen broccoli florets
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook rice and broccoli separately according to package directions.
  2. Whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, oil, and garlic; toss with broccoli.
