Pepper-Crusted Burgers

Ingredients
- ¾ lb ground beef
- ½ Tbsp coarse-ground black pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 slices mozzarella cheese
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp whole-grain mustard
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 2 leaves green leaf lettuce
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Shape beef into 2 patties. Sprinkle patties on all sides with pepper and salt. Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink in centers. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese; let stand 1 minute or until melted.
- Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, mustard, basil, and lemon zest; spread one-third of mixture on buns. Serve burgers on buns with lettuce and tomato. Serve remaining mayonnaise mixture with fries for dipping.
