Cheesy Beef and Pasta Bake

Caesar Salad and Buttery Italian Bread

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6-oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
  • 1 (8-oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook beef in a large, deep skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, and sugar; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain, and place in a large bowl. Add sour cream, cream cheese, and garlic powder; stirring until blended.
  3. Place pasta mixture into a lightly greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Spoon beef mixture over pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

  • 1 (16-oz) loaf Italian bread, sliced
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 (11.5-oz) pkg Caesar salad kits

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Wrap bread loaf in foil, leaving top exposed. Pour melted butter over top of bread; sprinkle with seasoning. Bake 10 minutes .
  2. Prepare salad according to package directions.
