Ingredients

  • 2 slices center cut bacon, chopped
  • 2 (6-oz) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ⅛ tsp garlic powder
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 oz ⅓-less-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat 6 minutes or until crisp.
  2. Meanwhile, sprinkle chicken with garlic powder and pepper. Cook in hot oil in a cast-iron or ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes or until browned and done.
  3. Combine cream cheese and jalapeño; spread over chicken, and sprinkle with Cheddar. Transfer skillet to oven; broil 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese melts. Sprinkle with bacon.

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together asparagus, oil, salt, pepper, and garlic on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
  2. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until asparagus is browned and tender.
