Brined Apple-Rosemary Pork Chops
Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce and Cheesy Broccoli
Ingredients
- 4 cups no-sugar-added apple juice
- ¼ cup kosher salt
- ¼ cup sugar
- 6 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and halved
- 2 lb boneless pork sirloin chops
Instructions
- Combine apple juice, salt, sugar, rosemary, and garlic in a large zip-top resealable plastic bag. Add pork chops, seal bag, and chill at least 4 hours or up to 2 days.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove pork from brine; discard brine. Pat pork dry with paper towels. Grill pork, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

- 6 sweet red apples, peeled and chopped
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 (22-oz) bag frozen broccoli with cheese sauce
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine apples, water, sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer over low heat 30 to 40 minutes or until apples are soft.
- Mash with a potato masher to desired consistency.
- Steam broccoli according to package directions.
