Grilled Pita Burgers
Cucumber Rounds and Strawberries
Ingredients
- ½ lb plant-based ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt-free Greek seasoning
- 2 slices provolone cheese
- 1 whole wheat pita bread round, halved and split (see Note)
- 6 Tbsp tzatziki sauce
- 1 cup baby spinach (or use mixed baby greens)
- ½ small tomato, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Combine plant-based beef, garlic, and seasoning in a bowl. Shape into 2 patties.
- Grill, covered, 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top with cheese. Serve burgers in pitas with tzatziki, greens, and tomato.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ English cucumber, sliced
- ½ (16-oz) pkg strawberries
Side Dish Instructions
- Serve cucumber and berries alongside burgers.
