Grilled Pita Burgers

Cucumber Rounds and Strawberries

Ingredients

  • ½ lb plant-based ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt-free Greek seasoning
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 whole wheat pita bread round, halved and split (see Note)
  • 6 Tbsp tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup baby spinach (or use mixed baby greens)
  • ½ small tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Combine plant-based beef, garlic, and seasoning in a bowl. Shape into 2 patties.
  2. Grill, covered, 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top with cheese. Serve burgers in pitas with tzatziki, greens, and tomato.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ English cucumber, sliced
  • ½ (16-oz) pkg strawberries

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve cucumber and berries alongside burgers.
