Smothered Patties
Ranch Mashed Potatoes and Carrots
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 6 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Cook onion in 2 Tbsp hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 20 minutes or until tender and golden.
- Meanwhile, combine beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl; shape into 6 patties. Cook patties in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink in centers. Drain and return patties to skillet.
- Top patties with onions and cheese slices. Cover and cook 2 minutes or until cheese melts.

- 1 (24-oz) pkg refrigerated mashed potatoes
- 1 (1-oz) envelope Ranch dressing mix, divided
- 2 (12-oz) pkg frozen crinkle-cut carrots
Side Dish Instructions
- Heat potatoes according to package directions. Stir in half of Ranch dressing mix.
- Cook carrots according to package directions. Toss with half of Ranch dressing mix.
