Cheesy Taco Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg shells pasta
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 (1-oz) envelope less-sodium taco seasoning
- 2 cups fresh salsa
- 1 (8-oz) block Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle beef with taco seasoning; cook 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Drain beef; return to skillet.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add pasta water, pasta, salsa, and cheese, stirring to combine. Cook 3 minutes or until cheese melts. Sprinkle with onions, if desired.
