Biscuit Burgers with Cheese Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated flaky-layer biscuits
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Bake biscuits according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, combine beef and seasoning; shape mixture into 6 patties. Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink in centers.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook, whisking occasionally until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Gradually stir in cheese until melted.
  4. Cut biscuits in half. Serve patties on biscuits topped with cheese sauce.
