Beef and Broccoli Bowl
Ingredients
- 2 (8.5-oz) pouches microwavable jasmine rice
- 2 (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 1½ lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp ginger paste
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Cook rice and broccoli according to package directions; set aside.
- Cook steak and onion in hot oil in a large nonstick skillet 5 minutes or until browned. Remove steak, and keep warm.
- Meanwhile, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch.
- Add steak and steamed broccoli to skillet. Stir soy sauce mixture into skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened, stirring often. Serve over rice.
