Stovetop Lasagna

Balsamic-Roasted Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg lasagna noodles, broken in pieces
  • 1 (24-oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet.
  2. Place lasagna noodles over beef. Top with pasta sauce, tomato sauce, water, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until noodles are tender.
  3. Dollop ricotta cheese onto tomato sauce, stirring slightly; sprinkle with mozzarella. Cover and let stand 2 minutes or until cheese melts.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 (12-oz) pkg green beans

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Whisk together oil, vinegar, and brown sugar; toss with green beans.
  2. Spread on a rimmed baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper. Bake 20 minutes or until browned and tender.
