Ham and Apples

Easy Green Beans and Bacon Crunch Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2½ cups chopped or sliced crisp red apples
  • 3 (8-oz) boneless ham steaks, halved

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and mustard; bring to a simmer. Add apples; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  2. Top apples with ham steaks, overlapping slightly. Cover with lid or foil, and simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Remove ham to a cutting board; cut into serving-size pieces. Top ham with saucy apples.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 (12-oz) pkg frozen cut green beans
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 (10.6-oz) pkg sunflower bacon crunch salad

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook green beans according to package directions. Toss with butter and lemon juice in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Toss together salad kit ingredients in a bowl; chill until ready to serve.
