Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg ground Italian sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups water
  • 1¾ cups beef broth
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can diced Italian-style tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg gnocchi
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage, onion, and seasoning in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until sausage is browned and crumbly. Add water, broth, and tomatoes; bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add gnocchi. Cook 5 to 6 minutes or until gnocchi is done. If desired, garnish each serving with about ¼ cup Baby Spinach Salad recipe. Serve remaining salad on the side. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 4 slices fully cooked bacon
  • 1 (6-oz) pkg baby spinach
  • ¼ cup (or more) balsamic vinaigrette

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Reheat bacon according to package directions; crumble.
  2. Toss spinach with vinaigrette; sprinkle with bacon. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper; toss.
