Apple-Cranberry Punch

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 3 cups apple cider, chilled
  • 1½ cups 100% cranberry juice, chilled
  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1½ cups Tennessee whiskey
  • 2 small apples, thinly sliced into rounds
  • ¼ cup cranberries (or use frozen, thawed)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes. Makes about ⅓ cup.
  2. Add brown sugar simple syrup, cider, juices, and bourbon to a large pitcher. Stir in apple slices and cranberries. Serve in punch glasses. Makes 6 servings.
