Red Onion Flank Steak
Charred Green Beans and Tomatoes with Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1½ lb flank steak
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
Instructions
- Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper. Cook steak in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 12 minutes or until browned and cooked to desired doneness, turning occasionally. Remove to a cutting board. Thinly slice steak diagonally across the grain.
- Add onion and garlic to skillet; cook 4 to 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Return steak to skillet. Add soy sauce and vinegar; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. .
