Apple Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup water
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 oz apple-flavored Tennessee whiskey
  • 4 oz sparkling apple cider
  • 4 oz lemon juice
  • 2 oz lime juice
  • Garnish: apple slices

Instructions

  1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature.
  2. Pour brown sugar simple syrup into a heat-proof container. Chill at least 4 hours.
  3. Combine whiskey, brown sugar simple syrup, sparkling apple cider, lemon juice, and lime juice in a medium pitcher.
  4. Fill 4 old-fashioned glasses half-full with ice. Divide whiskey mixture among glasses; garnish each with apple slices. Makes 4 servings.
