Creamy French Onion Pasta
Simple Spinach SaladIngredients
- 4 oz fettuccine
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Cook onion in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a skillet over medium heat 15 minutes or until tender and browned.
- Meanwhile, cook mushrooms in 1 Tbsp hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 minutes or until browned. Reduce heat to medium; add Worcestershire, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add broth, cream, cheese, and thyme; cook 5 minutes or until thickened. Add onions, stirring to coat. Serve onion mixture over pasta.
