Cheeseburger Pasta Toss
Romaine Salad
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1½ cups chopped onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped fresh basil
- ½ cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 Tbsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz shell pasta
Instructions
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and transfer to a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker.
- Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients except cheese and pasta.
- Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours.
- Cook pasta according to package directions; stir pasta and cheese into beef mixture.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 5 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped
- ½ cup thinly sliced red onion
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1½ Tbsp red wine vinegar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients in a large bowl.
