Ham and Swiss Quiche

Roasted Honey-Orange Asparagus

Ingredients

  • ½ (14.1-oz) pkg refrigerated piecrusts
  • Reserved 1 cup chopped cooked ham (from Apricot-Glazed Ham recipe or use packaged chopped cooked ham)
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Fit piecrust into a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Bake 7 minutes, and remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
  3. Sprinkle ham, green onions, and ½ cup cheese in crust.
  4. Whisk together eggs, cream, pepper, and nutmeg; pour over ham mixture, and sprinkle with ½ cup cheese.
  5. Bake 35 minutes or until center is set; let stand 10 minutes.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 2 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1½ tsp honey

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F .
  2. Toss together asparagus and oil on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer. Bake 12 minutes or until tender.
  3. Whisk together orange juice and honey; drizzle over asparagus.
