Ham and Swiss Quiche
Roasted Honey-Orange Asparagus
Ingredients
- ½ (14.1-oz) pkg refrigerated piecrusts
- Reserved 1 cup chopped cooked ham (from Apricot-Glazed Ham recipe or use packaged chopped cooked ham)
- ½ cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 6 large eggs
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Fit piecrust into a 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake 7 minutes, and remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
- Sprinkle ham, green onions, and ½ cup cheese in crust.
- Whisk together eggs, cream, pepper, and nutmeg; pour over ham mixture, and sprinkle with ½ cup cheese.
- Bake 35 minutes or until center is set; let stand 10 minutes.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1½ tsp honey
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F .
- Toss together asparagus and oil on a rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer. Bake 12 minutes or until tender.
- Whisk together orange juice and honey; drizzle over asparagus.
