Banana-Cinnamon Oatmeal

Rosemary-Sage Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water 
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. Bring water and salt to a rolling boil in a saucepan (see Note). Stir in oats; reduce heat, and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly until oats are thickened and water is absorbed. Stir in cinnamon; top with bananas.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ lb lean turkey breakfast sausage
  • ½ tsp dried crushed rosemary
  • ½ tsp rubbed sage
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Combine sausage, rosemary, and sage in a bowl; shape into 8 patties. Cook patties, in batches if necessary, in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
