Banana-Cinnamon Oatmeal
Rosemary-Sage Sausage PattiesIngredients
- 4 cups water
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 bananas, sliced
Instructions
- Bring water and salt to a rolling boil in a saucepan (see Note). Stir in oats; reduce heat, and cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly until oats are thickened and water is absorbed. Stir in cinnamon; top with bananas.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ lb lean turkey breakfast sausage
- ½ tsp dried crushed rosemary
- ½ tsp rubbed sage
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Side Dish Instructions
- Combine sausage, rosemary, and sage in a bowl; shape into 8 patties. Cook patties, in batches if necessary, in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until no longer pink.
