Sesame Shrimp

Lo-Mein Noodles and Steamed Sugar Snap Peas

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb peeled and deveined large raw shrimp
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook shrimp in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes. Remove from skillet. Stir in broth, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and garlic powder.
  2. Whisk together cornstarch and water. Add cornstarch mixture to skillet; bring to a boil, and boil 1 minute or until sauce begins to thicken. Return shrimp to skillet, toss to coat with sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (10-oz) pkg lo-mein noodles
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sugar snap peas
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions. Steam peas according to package directions; toss with soy sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
