Hot Buttered Cider Rum

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups apple cider
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup spiced rum
  • ¼ cup buttered rum syrup (see Note)
  • Garnish: 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Heat cider in a small saucepan over medium heat until just simmering; stir in salt. Remove from heat.
  2. Meanwhile, divide rum and syrup between 2 heatproof mugs. Top with hot cider. Garnish, if desired. Makes 2 servings.
