Meyer Lemon-Sage Presse
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup plus 2 Tbsp sugar, divided
- ⅓ cup water
- 5 fresh sage leaves
- ¼ cup Meyer lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp alcohol-free white wine
- 2 Tbsp sparkling water
- Garnish: fresh sage leaf
Instructions
- Bring ⅓ cup sugar, water, and sage leaves to a boil over medium heat in a small saucepan. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature. Strain into a shallow bowl.
- Place 2 Tbsp sugar in a shallow bowl. Dip rim of glass in cooled syrup, and then dip in sugar to coat rim.
- Combine lemon juice and 2 Tbsp prepared syrup in a glass; stir. Top with wine and sparkling water. Garnish, if desired.
