Hearty Cheesy and Broccoli Pasta Bake
Ingredients
- 2 fresh plant-based burger patties, crumbled
- 4 oz ziti pasta
- ½ (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- ¾ cup drained canned diced tomatoes
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ cup shredded reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp sliced fresh basil
Instructions
- Cook plant-based beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain and transfer to a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker.
- Stir in pasta, broccoli, marinara sauce, tomatoes, broth, water, garlic, and pepper. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Cover and cook on LOW 5 hours or until pasta is tender. Sprinkle with basil.
