Upside Down Pizza
Easy Italian Salad
Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg ground Italian sausage
- ½ (7-oz) pkg large pepperoni slices
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 (1-lb) pkg rolled-out pizza crust
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook sausage in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, and wipe skillet clean.
- Arrange pepperoni (overlapping slightly) in bottom and up sides of same skillet. Spoon sausage over pepperoni. Layer provolone slices over sausage; sprinkle with mozzarella. Dollop pizza sauce over cheese.
- Place crust over pizza sauce; tucking edges of crust into sides of skillet. Brush with oil and sprinkle with seasoning.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before inverting skillet onto a serving platter. Cut into wedges. Refrigerate or freeze leftover pizza for another meal.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
- ¼ cup creamy Italian dressing
- 3 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ (5-oz) pkg garlic-butter croutons
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients just before serving.
