Brazilian Orange Mojito

Ingredients

  • ¼ orange, cut into wedges
  • ½ lime, cut into wedges
  • 2 Tbsp fresh mint leaves
  • 1½ Tbsp sugar
  • ¼ cup cachaça (or use your favorite light rum)
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • ½ cup to ⅔ cup club soda
  • Garnish: fresh mint sprig

Instructions

  1. Add orange and lime wedges, mint, and sugar to a cocktail shaker, and gently muddle. Top with cachaça and ½ cup ice cubes. Cover and shake vigorously until very cold, about 30 seconds.
  2. Pour into a Collins glass filled one-third full with ice. Top with club soda.  Garnish, if desired.
