Kung Pao Chicken Sloppy Joes
Asian Slaw
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground chicken
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- ¾ cup kung pao sauce
- 6 hamburger buns
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Cook chicken and onion in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium; add sauce, and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
- Divide chicken mixture among buns. Top with Asian Slaw recipe and cilantro.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- ½ cup chopped roasted, salted peanuts
Side Dish Instructions
- Whisk together vinegar, oil, and soy sauce in a large bowl. Add coleslaw, cilantro, and nuts; toss.
