Sausage-Chickpea Pasta
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb Italian ground pork sausage
- 1 (15.5-oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 (23-oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 tsp paprika
- ½ (10-oz) pkg spinach (or use kale)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, cook sausage and chickpeas in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until sausage is browned and crumbly. Drain, if needed.
- Add garlic; cook 1 minute or until fragrant. Stir in marinara sauce and paprika; reduce heat to medium, and simmer 10 minutes or until sauce begins to thicken.
- Add spinach; stir until wilted. Serve sauce over pasta.
