Sausage Breakfast Biscuits
Parmesan Grits and Fruit SaladIngredients
- ½ lb ground sausage
- 6 large eggs, divided
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated flaky-layer biscuits
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Drain, and wipe skillet clean.
- Whisk together 5 eggs in a bowl until blended. Melt butter in same large skillet over medium heat; add eggs to skillet and cook, without stirring, until beginning to set on bottom. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and set. Remove from skillet, and let cool 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, roll each biscuit into a 6-inch circle.
- Divide sausage, scarmbled eggs, and ½ cup cheese among centers of rolled out biscuits. Pull up edges and pinch to seal, completely enclosing filling.
- Place seam side down on a lightly greased baking sheet. Lightly beat remaining egg in a bowl; brush over biscuit bundles.
- Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until golden brown.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1½ cups quick-cooking grits
- ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 (2-lb) container deli fruit salad
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook grits according to package directions; stir in cheese and butter until melted. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Serve fruit on each plate.
