Grilled Burgers with Caribbean Jerk Mayo

Ingredients

  • 2 fresh plant-based burger patties
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 (0.75-oz) slices pepper-Jack cheese
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • ¼ tsp lime zest
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • ¼ tsp organic Jerk seasoning
  • 2 vegan hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 large Roma tomato, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat, and lightly oil pan. Grill patties 4 minutes per side, topping with cheese slices during last 1 minute of cooking.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together mayonnaise, lime zest, lime juice, and Jerk seasoning in a bowl.
  3. Spread mayonnaise mixture on bottom buns. Serve patties on buns with lettuce and tomato.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (20-oz) pkg frozen sweet potato fries with sea salt

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions. Serve with burgers.
