Balsamic New York Strip
Lemony Asparagus with Goat Cheese
Ingredients
- 1½ lb New York strip steaks
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp melted butter, divided
Instructions
- Place steaks in a large zip-top bag. Whisk oil, garlic, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Pour marinade over steaks; seal and turn bag several times to coat. Chill at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Remove steaks, discarding any leftover marinade. Cook steak in 1 Tbsp melted butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Let stand 5 minutes; drizzle with 1 Tbsp butter, and slice.

- 1 tsp lemon zest
- ½ Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
- ½ (4-oz) log goat cheese, crumbled
Side Dish Instructions
- Steam asparagus in a steamer basket over simmering water 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
- Whisk oil, zest, juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Arrange asparagus on a platter; drizzle with oil mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
