Pasta Pomodoro
Easy Italian Salad
Ingredients
- 1 (28-oz) can crushed tomatoes
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 (16-oz) pkg fettuccine
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup butter
Instructions
- Stir together tomatoes, oil, basil, onion powder, and garlic powder in a large Dutch oven. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, cooking 2 minutes less than package directs; drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
- Bring pasta water to a boil in pasta pot over medium-high heat. Stir in pasta, and cook until liquid is absorbed. Add cheese and butter, stirring until melted. Add tomato mixture; toss.
- Divide pasta among 6 shallow bowls.
