Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein

Ingredients
- 1 (14-oz) pkg Chinese style lo mein noodles
- 1½ (12-oz) pkg broccoli florets
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 Tbsp minced garlic
- ½ (10-oz) pkg shredded carrots
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions, adding broccoli the last 4 minutes of cooking. Drain.
- Thinly slice steak across the grain. Cook in hot oil in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper to taste, if desired. Add garlic and carrots; cook 1 minute.
- Combine brown sugar and remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Add noodles and broccoli and soy sauce mixture to steak; gently toss. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Season again to taste, if desired.
